1.Profile of the Japan Titanium Society

1.Purpose of Foundation

The Japan Titanium Society(JTS)was founded in 1952, as an official organization approved by the Japanese government. The aim of the organization is to contribute to the progress and welfare of mankind by expanding the uses of titanium at an economical cost and to contribute towards the steady growth and development of the titanium industry.


2. Brief History
1952
MITI prepared "A Plan to develop the titanium industry" and Japan Titanium Society (JTS) was established.
1954
Japan Titanium Society was approved as an official industrial organization.
1969
Japanese name was changed from cname1 to cname2.
1980
The 4th World Conference on Titanium was held in at Kyoto International Conference Center in Kyoto.
1982
The 30th Anniversary International Symposium on Titanium was held in November at the Kobe International Conference Hall in Kobe.
1992
The 40th Anniversary Conference of JTS was held in Tokyo.
1994
Japanese name was changed from cname2 to cname3.
